havent been updating for years. rather busy with..school and tests. yesterday, went to watch "kingdom of heaven" with janice, waii and christina. hmm..watching movie on the weekday still quite affordable, $7, okay lah. the gist of the show is about the crusade (i hope i spelt it right). the war between the muslims and jews, for the holy land jerusalem (now we call it palestine). the show is good, have some underlying meanings and stuff. but the one think i hate about the show is that orlando bloom made such a stupid decision of not marrying the princess!! if he had just marry her, i believe much fewer civilians would had die!!! haiz...ppl at that civilization practically fight all day long! by the way..talking about war, i remember what ms chew told us during GP about a just war.
principles of a just war:
1) A just war can only be waged as a last resort. All non-violent options must be exhausted before the use of force can be justified.
2) A just war can only be fought to redress a wrong suffered.
3) A war can only be just if it is fought with a reasonable chance of success. Deaths and injury incurred in a hopeless cause are not morally justifiable.
4) The ultimate goal of a just war is to re-establish peace. More specifically, the peace established after the war must be preferable to the peace that would have prevailed if the war had not been fought.
