promises are nice thing to be heard..it's like an ideal situation created by both parties..but how often they can be kept. especially so for promises that need to withstand a long time frame. as change is the only constant, how can one ensure that promises will still hold and never been wiped off due to changes in the environment. very often reasons are given to explain the broken agreement but those are just excuses. can there be a form of insurance against broken promises...how much are you willing to trust this promise, how much are you willing to give up or sacrifice to hold on to this promise? it requires lots of commitment, effort and sacrifices to make everything work out..for that i still remain very skeptical and questionable about a promise...
