it's 3am, trying to do my thermodynamics tut and it's driving me crazy. really 'dy' becoz of it. then i remembered a question that i always asked ppl yet never went to google about the solution.
1)what happens to helium balloons when they raise up to the sky?
hb's guess: according to physics, the higher you go the lower the pressure. thus air inside the balloon will expand until it burst! but how come i never see balloon rubber on the ground one? becoz it's burst till small small bits?
correct answer: yeah! same as mine. Data from the National Weather Service show that at a height of five miles and air temperature of minus-40 degrees F balloons blow apart into small pieces. The natural rubber actually shatters due to the combination of high pressure and cold.

2) i remembered mr ang saying that the probabilty of ppl having the same birthday as you in a class is very high. i believe him as he worked out b4. but after 20 years of life, i havent found anyone with the same birthday as me.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birthday_paradox#Same_birthday_as_you
In probability theory, the birthday paradox states that in a group of 23 (or more) randomly chosen people, there is more than 50% probability that some pair of them will have the same birthday. For 57 or more people, the probability is more than 99%, although it cannot be exactly 100% unless there are at least 366 people in that group.
3)talking about probability, i decided to find out the odds of winning 4D as well. but no good results came out! boo...anyway, i've got another qns! 4D or toto have a higher probability of winning uh?
arg..i'm just so 无聊!time for pV=nRT blah!
